Getting started with Secure Schools Cybersecurity Policy Builder
Introduction to the Policy Builder tool
The Secure Schools Cybersecurity Policy Builder allows you to access a library of cybersecurity document templates to support your school or multi-academy trust in meeting DfE, ESFA, RPA, and Cyber Essentials requirements and expectations. These policies are researched, crafted, and kept up-to-date by the Secure Schools Compliance and Certification team.
You can access the Policy builder from the sidebar of the Platform home screen. You can also see Created policies and Assigned policies.
Only Owners and Admins have access to Build a policy and Created Policies

Your policy will be published, and an email will be sent to the users inviting them to review and sign the policy.
Signing policies:
After receiving the email to sign the policy, colleagues must click the acknowledgement box and add their names to demonstrate their agreement to the policy:
A weekly reminder will be sent via email until the user signs the assigned policy.
Created Policies:
You can access the Created policies screen to review existing policies:

You can also download it as a PDF for offline review, track the versions that have been created, export a report to identify who still needs to sign, or completely delete the policy if necessary.

When you select Signing you’ll have the option to invite additional users. You can share policies with people outside the Secure Schools platform (Assign external users). This could include visitors, governors, or long-term supply staff who must agree to the policies:
